The author or 'scribe' states that the ‘burden' or commission, to write this book was placed on him in January, 1987, after visiting the tombs of the ancient pharaohs in Egypt. At which time he realized an emotional and conscious communication with a spirit, he describes as the 'Guidon' who relates the story of Rahmotep. It took until December, 2011 for the last word to be typed. He states As I wrote, I ‘saw’ the events, and characters, in my mind. These people are real to me, as though I knew them personally and shared their experiences along with them.
The most unusual part of this experience is that, when I read what is written here, I seem to have no connection to it. It is as though they are words set down by someone other than myself. I am touched and inspired every time I read it, often feeling electrifying ‘goose flesh’. There are times when I had, and have, no doubt of the guiding hand of the Guidon.
