A Deadly Game
18-yr old Sam Carson is learning the business of training and breeding thoroughbreds when a shotgun fired from the darkness guns down his father. Armed with a name and a memory of a voice he won’t soon forget, Sam begins a search for the killer that leads to the large city of Lexington and the home of a powerful gambling syndicate.
Sam grows up in a hurry, taking over the day-to-day duties of the ranch. He enters a fast 3-yr old filly at the local track and soon collides with the syndicate when he refuses to follow orders.
By pure chance, Sam identifies his father’s killer and learns he is a member of the syndicate. Always in the background and untouchable by the local law, the killer must be lured into a fight with Sam in order for his father’s murder to be avenged.
