With Purgatory modeled after an undisclosed DMV location, this story follows the lives of two coworkers (Veronica the Clock Puncher and Gary the New Guy) and one recently deceased (Judith the Beach Girl) as they explore the business side of death while questioning ethics and past decisions. For some, it is just another miserable day at work while others wait in line for their fates to be processed. It is a mixture of personal regrets and office politics as coworkers bet on deaths in the break room and deal with their frustrating bosses who wish to keep Purgatory nondenominational. For the deceased, waiting in line is possibly even worse torture as they have to deal with obnoxious people who demean their literal existence.
