How will a young elven healer face invading humans, a power stealing wizard, and still save her dying forest home? With hope, because hope is stronger than fear. 
Keysa, an adolescent elf wants to do just that. Positive her forest home is dying and unable to convince anyone else, she leaves home angry and determined. Soon joined by a witch, her brother, and a human soldier they will journey through a world much larger than she could have ever known. Along the way Keysa will make a friend that will teach her to keep hope, even on the darkest days. Keysa only wants to heal the sickness in the great wood, to no longer feel the pain in the trees, to heal as she was born to do. Around every turn in the road brings a new challenge to overcome before she can accomplish her goal. Only when she realizes that first she will have to save the entire elven race can she finally focus on the dying forest.
