As far back as anyone could remember, life in the valley had been a simple one, based upon the precepts and laws expected of them to follow from generations past. But on the eve of the yearly harvest, one man thought differently—Jon Evers. The very idea of doing the same ritualized activity year after year has become like a death sentence to him.
