This book describes not only the difficulties in traveling in India but also the casual administrative style of various organisations in India during the last century. His journey from South India to Varanasi , an unfamiliar north Indian city to attend the written test is narrated in this book . There were several anxious moments during the trip and after wards. Fortunately all hurdles were over come and he got admission to the Master of Surgery course at Banaras Hindu University( B.H.U.)These events have occurred during the year 1971. The book also points to the various deficiencies in India at that time and also the helping nature of the people during the difficult times. The author got help and guidance from strangers during the difficult period and he was able to overcome all road blocks in his journey to success. The book also describes his return journey by flight - the first experience of flying over the Tajmahal at Agra. Luck and divine blessings seem to have worked favorably during his struggle to get a post graduate degree from B.H.U. Varanasi.
