Bakir's Helm

Welcome to Vareima, where Strangers from Earth walk the streets and Magic flows like water. Once a tropical world of nomadic denizens and frightening creatures, Vareima is still recovering from a devastating cataclysm in its' distant past. After most life was wiped clean from the world, the Gods took it on themselves to repopulate it with the inhabitants of a half dozen other worlds. For this, the Gods are expelled for interfering in the natural affairs of Vareima. Those beings relocated by the Gods are forced to coexist with themselves and the remaining natives while Vareima recovers from the cataclysm. And so the eons passed, until the time of Surela and her adventure in Bakir's Helm.
The first Tale of Vareima, Bakir's Helm tells the story of Surela, a young half-Human, half-Stone Elf. Both heroine & thief, she & Lim, her hand size reptilian companion, and self-appointed guardian of Surela, cross the Sea of Ages desert to steal a fabled, and perhaps nonexistent, treasure. Hidden in the ancient city of Bakir's Helm, the treasure is guarded by the dreaded Hraks, vicious and mysterious warriors, never before defeated in battle. Surela must use all of her skills if they are to escape Bakir's Helm with their prize and their lives.
