Awakening

Lucian returns to the small town where he grew up to attend the funeral of a close friend. Charlie's death is mysterious to say the least, and as a cop in a nearby city, Lucian is curious about the circumstances surrounding Charlie's sudden death. Some things have changed since Lucian last visited the little town of Mapleton, but a lot of things are still buried beneath the surface of the quiet little town, in the same way that certain feelings, which have lain dormant for years, are about to wake up. The old Hamiliton house is still there, the house which scared Lucian as a kid, and Landon, his old friend, has a new boarder staying at his mother's bed and breakfast, the beautiful and mysterious game warden, Julian Danone.
