Both were/are God fearing nations whose foundations were/are rooted in the principles and commandments of the Word of God. Both have strayed from those principles and commandments. Both have experienced God’s abundant blessing; they have also been subject to His discipline.
The Bible contains stories of men and women whom God raised up in times of blessing and in times of despair. They were men and women of faith who lifted their voices in prayer before the God to whom they adhered. They stood firm in their faith and witnessed God respond to their prayers by performing the miraculous. Through their prayers they became history makers and history changers.
