Anglo Fleecing is based on one of the largest real life scams, of the same name, to come out of Africa in recent years. Joe Mwamko, the main character, takes advantage of the folly by African leaders to worship anything European and easily sells a story to the government that a bunch of ordinary Englishmen he had put together were a development company that would build the country a complete new port city, for free. And so Anglo Fleecing is born, a mega scandal spanning three continents, through which hundreds of millions of dollars are milked from government departments and shipped abroad. A new British minister becomes aware of the well kept intelligence files on dirty money constantly arriving from Africa and questions the wisdom of the never ending aid to the continent while their leaders are busy emptying the public coffers. But she soon finds the old guard is inclined to look the other way, never mind the official rhetoric to the contrary.
