A series of stories featuring a sophisticated upper class criminal, burgler, forger, gambler, murderer. The stories each feature the same criminal, but with a different name as he travels the world, assuming new identities, eluding the police, and stealing fortunes. He is a character of significant savoir fare. In one story he assists British Intelligence in the recovery of critical documents from a foreign power. In another he uses his skills to help a maid in distress. The stories cover interesting situations. One in Jamaica, several others in Paris and London.
