Set in medieval times, King Alim's reign of Acabar draws to a close with no suitable male heirs. He rushes to find husbands for his three magical princesses: Teriliyn, the War Princess/Dragon Rider, Vanessa, the Telepath, and Amma, the Nature Empath. The King's biggest problem is getting the Princesses to agree to a betrothal. What the King doesn't know is the Queen has her own treacherous plans for Princess Amma.
In book one, King Alim stumbles into a meeting between his trusted advisor and Nippal, who is a foreigner and potential mate for Amma. Nippal has been trained as a knight, however, he finds himself wandering from place to place to find a position more suitable to his nature. After a confrontation with all three princesses, Nippal enters into an agreement with the Queen. Will this come back to haunt him?
Will King Alim succeed in finding a husband for Princess Amma? Will the Queen and her witch be able to conjure up enough dark magic to make the Queen's wishes come true? How does Nippal's agreement with the Queen and the Princesses turn out?
