Like so many other places, people arrive at Morris Pointe from diverse origins for a multitude of reasons. Some make a conscious choice to settle there. Some are born there or are there because their parents made the choice for them. Some follow a simple path dictated by employment. Some locate there to be close to a loved one. Others seem to find themselves there as a result of forces beyond their control. Maria Sirelli was one of those that arrived as a result of circumstances not of her choosing. She arrived at Morris Pointe, following a bizarre, often twisting path that you will find hard to believe.
She has earned a love 'em and leave 'em reputation among her friends. She was unlucky in love before arriving at Morris Pointe and that unlucky streak has continued. Did you ever wonder what it was that resulted in her alternately flamboyant and reserved personality. In times of vulnerability, she occasionally alludes to a mysterious past that she has never shared with anyone.
She watched as her friends Lauren and Gil found love. When she met Lauren's dad on a visit, she thought for a while she might have found love. Jack was likewise damaged by his past, but she tried to kindle something anyway when they accompanied Lauren and Gil to Miami to get married. When that didn't pan out she moved on to a Bartender at the hotel. What haunts her? "Always Starting Over" is the beginning of her story.
