“Alice and the Pigeon” is a story about a little girl, who was called Alice. One evening winter she pushed aside the curtains of her bedroom window and saw that there were clouds and it was dark and cold. “Poor birds” she said and her mother answered that they are all safe because each bird has a place to live and they know where it is situated. But in the morning when she looked outside the window she saw a pigeon sitting on the fence, shivering. “Oh, poor, dear bird!” Alice said and slightly opened the window inviting the pigeon inside. She gave him some bread crumbs and when the pigeon ate them all he flew away. The girl was disappointed and wanted to see the bird again.
