After years of pondering the improbability of the story of Adam and Eve, I have done considerable research into how human life was formed on this planet. Well, I still don’t know exactly, but ancient lore from many sources seems to dovetail into this somewhat reasonable explanation.
There were two “Adams” – twins, both men. One went off to become Lilith who then morphed into Diana the Huntress. Eve was created from Adam's rib to be a witless companion to Adam. Lilith, on the other hand, was free to run her own life, independent and willful. She had no interest in domesticity.
To me, these two female models explain why some women prefer to live happily with their family and other females choose to happily pursue a more adventuresome lifestyle. And, since Adam was androgynous, it seems many men have the same inclination as women – some happy in marriage and some happy sailing the seven seas.
My conclusion is that, yes, we were created by a superior being and our task is to live in peace appreciating what gifts we each have.
