Three lessons are provided for use by teachers, parents, or librarians. The lessons are targeted to grades seven and up and designed to teach students the correct use of internet search engines. Topics include choosing keywords, distinguishing authoritative sources from non-authoritative sources, and using resources ethically. The objective is to get students beyond the cursory Google search and into pages of relevant and credible search results.

Exercises are included. The exercises are open-ended so teachers can customize them to suit their needs.

The author graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina Central University with a Master of Library Science degree. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. Her teaching experience includes home schooling grades kindergarten through twelve and teaching all ages at various times in church programs. She also serves as a church librarian.
