Abused Mail Order Bride Meets Candy Maker: A Clean Western Historical Romance

The year is 1873, and desperate Gretchen decides to become a Mail Order Bride.

Gretchen just received a letter from Benjamin who asked her for her hand in marriage. She had answered an ad for a mail order bride. She was going to accept his offer. The problem was since their mother had died while giving birth to their brother, who also died, their father had become violent when the girls did not behave the way he felt they should. Gretchen was not going to leave her sister Lucia Clarabelle alone with their father. It was too late to let Benjamin know about this change of plan, as he was already on his way to get Gretchen and bring her back to Nevada.

When he arrived, he was not happy with the added passenger and his anger was visible to Gretchen, who became very concerned because this was exactly how her father reacted when he was upset. Just as they were about to start their journey home, their horses were stolen. They were able to purchase two more, but they were sick and died in a very short time.

They were stranded in the middle of nowhere. Would they be able to find help? If not, what would happen to Gretchen and Lucia Clarabelle?
