Cryer found that much of the world lives in tropical villages of great poverty, and saw that corporate, and even government help was utterly insufficient. He dared to dream that one person with a modest amount of funds, could go into almost any small village and effect a dramatic change. He had a vision of a one-three month model that could be followed by students, teachers, or almost anyone with more than the customary two week vacation. He believes that charity is most addicting and fulfilling when you give directly to persons in a program of your own design.
