A Step Beyond Protection

Special Agent Raven Somers, of the United States Secret Service, is finally returning back to duty after having been gone for over ten months because of a frightening incident. Only she isn't the same strong, always smiling and laughing, joyful woman that left. Raven is still reeling from the sudden death of her father, which coincided with her leaving. Her father was the one that inspired her on her path with Jesus, and she is now struggling in the dark because her light has died.

Raven strives to get back into a routine with the only familiar thing she has left, her career, but she is in grave danger of losing that as well, and is plagued by a fear that is paramount to her livelihood. However, at every turn she encounters an elusive group of men, and one powerful man that is always right there in the center of them with his broad shoulders and comforting arms open to her.
