Botch Retsil, Poet. 1978-2002

The storied life and loves of the late 20th century artist.

A challenging read, with great reward. An epic poem.

First Review raves:  I know the trend among Retsil's biographers is to label him"queer", which apparently is the new front in extreme sensationalism, and you get that in his writings.  But my impression was CREEPY. Certain passeges come leering off the page at you. I didn't want to be the one who embraced him, but there is a persistance, an earnestness, that is compelling.   …seems tasteless at first; but drop  your guard, draw it in and work it down... it comes off as a rich, bitter-sweet  pleasure!”

The New Christian Charlatan says “…ideas so dangerously big and  slippery… are hard to take in… rank humor… penetrating… dark… tongue in cheek…Its the queerest thing I’ve ever read!”
