Byron was excited when he got invited to the frat party.

He had never been one of the popular kids when he was in high school. Never even had a girlfriend. But that had never bothered him. He thought women were shallow and only wanted to be with a man who was self centered. Only wanted a man who would betray them, hurt them. Well, they could have them.

Byron always thought of others, empathizing so much it bordered on telepathy, his ability to read others feelings.

Everyone always came to him to share their troubles. He always felt flattered, but a part of him yearned. Yearned for just one person to care about him, about his troubles.

Truthfully, it wasn't the frat party that had him excited. It was who had invited him.

One of the upper classmen, Michael Cordova. He had met Michael just a few days earlier in his writing 101 class, sitting next to him. Michael was so charismatic. The two had hit it off instantly. And Michael was everything he had always wished to be. Strong, with a magnetic personality. Charming. And an aura of dangerous that exuded from his muscular frame.

Byron knew he had to play this one cool. He knew he wanted to be more than a casual friend.

He didn't realize it, but he wanted more than he had ever wanted before. And would do anything to own it before it was over.
