Bear Rodell is a rational man, mature and educated and a math professor. He's the last person to believe in ghosts. Right? Except that's hard to hold on to, when he gets up for a glass of water in the middle of the night, to find his ex-fiancé's mother waiting for him, sitting in the kitchen past midnight. His ex-fiancé's dead mother, to be precise. What does a rational man do about something like that?

Especially when Mrs Lowe is the one who broke up him and Harry in the first place, homophobic and domineering, pressuring her son into a straight lifestyle and a hasty wedding to a woman she approved. Except now, her ghost is all kinds of sorry about it, and very urgent in telling Bear that Harry is still pining for him, now that his brief marriage is over. But can he believe anything a ghost says? Especially when he wakes up in the morning, and has to ask himself if he was only dreaming...
