A dark short story about a serial killer living in Scarborough, on the Yorkshire coast in the 1960's.

This short story was spawned at the Scarborough Writers’ Society led by Bob Jackman. To provide inspiration Bob gives out three words/phrases at the end of each meeting for members to incorporate into a short story should they so wish.

The first chapter of this story was the result of the three phrases, ‘A Kiss from a Strange Lady,’ ‘Poem’ and ‘Monkey’.

OK, I cheated a bit with the monkey but the phrases are only read out – not spelled out.

At the end of the first chapter, all of the society members wanted to know what happened next, so I took on the challenge of writing the rest of the story incorporating the three words from the following five meetings.

I have used the words as the titles for each chapter. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you can take a moment to think about how the phrases will be incorporated.
