"And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments, and do them." Ezekiel 36:27. The blessing here promised is one of the most essential that men can need, or that God can give. Without this blessing, all the other benefits of the covenant would be null and void. It is vain to have a Savior if we have not spiritual power to believe in Him! Of what use is it to us that there should be provided precious promises if we have no faith worked in us by the Holy Spirit whereby we can grasp those promises, plead them in prayer and obtain their fulfillment? Jesus is gone from us into heaven, but He continues to reign and rule in our midst by His vicegerent, the Holy Spirit! Let us honor Him. Let us rely upon Him. Let us earnestly seek Him. Let it be ours to declare Him, those of us who have to speak, and yours to receive Him, those of you who have to hear!
