A Field for Exploits brings together a selection of lectures from Salvation Army international training councils which took place in 1925, 1951, 1974 and 2001 and makes them available to a wider readership for the first time.

Some of these lectures were representative of their day, while others stand out beyond their era and offer to us lessons relevant to today.

Each paper - including those by Generals Bramwell Booth, Albert Orsborn, Erik Wickberg, Arnold Brown, Eva Burrows and Paul A. Rader - has been carefully revised and updated, with reading guidelines and discussion starters to stimulate debate.

A special inclusion is three brand new chapters on leadership by General Eva Burrows (Retired).
