This book is the first in an autobiographical series that chronicles the journey from abuse to healing. Two voices are heard in the book, the "remembering" voice and the "adult" voice. The book is dark, telling the story of childhood sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental and emotional abuse, and the reality of living in five provinces of Canada while attending more than 20 schools by the age of sixteen. The story has been read and validated by siblings and close extended family. And now, it is the time for truth-telling.

Book two in the series will talk about the flight from home and the past.

Book three in the series will talk about the journey of healing that begins when the past can no longer by shuttered out.
