Beaumont and Yarnell have been partners in crime for years, yet their burglary jobs don't always go as planned. Like the one on Halloween night, when an error in measurement down in the storm water sewer puts them into the basement of a local mortuary instead of inside the intended jewelry store. Still, they found a way to make a profit.....even if it meant taking on as their burglar protege one of the mortuary employees who had to sleep in a display casket because his wife got everything in their divorce.
But even in their everyday life between jobs, their occupation of being burglars would intrude. There was the time around the 4th of July when Beaumont got called for jury duty. It wasn't until after he was already impaneled that Beaumont discovered the pending trial was on the charges of burglary with one of the defendants being a fellow burglar who owed money to Beaumont. And, it seemed that this particular burglar had been avoiding Beaumont for the last several months.
Then, there was the Valentine's Day when Yarnell took his wife on a week long Caribbean cruise for their anniversary. She made him promise to refrain from any burglar activities while on the cruise. Unfortunately for Yarnell, he soon found that Beaumont and their burglar protege, The Thin Guy, had stowed away on board and already had a job in progress.A job which required the assistance of Yarnell.
Living the life of a criminal sometimes brings on a condition known as paranoia. On his way to a penthouse job on New Year's Eve, Yarnell thinks he is being followed. Beaumont sees nothing suspicious behind them. Is Yarnell correct to be paranoid? Or is it merely an overactive imagination?
Come along with the two burglars on their nine escapades in this collection. Feel the adrenaline, watch their screw-ups, see their solutions. You just might find yourself laughing.
